Opinion: On Trump’s mind

Let’s say you have 2 dogs: “One dog you know will bite you because it’s bitten you before, every time.
The other dog is new and crazy and different and will probably bite you, but you don’t know for sure.

Extroverted and controlling, Donald Trump has managed to become the next big talk in the world of politics. Some hold the view that he could change the world, others that he is the most dangerous man in the world.

But why Trump was selected for President?

Why Trump was selected for President?

‘Trump is exactly what you get, with Hillary you can’t know what’s real’, said one of his voters. Why?
  • People were angry and he speaks to their anger.
  • The Americans thought he’ll make a good president.
  • Because Hilary was a weak candidate.
  • People desperately wanted a change or wanted something new, something else and Trump was that new .
  • A majority didn’t want Clinton legacy to be continued in the White House or have been dreaming that Trump will make America prosperous again.
  • Preferred a more conservative policy or dreamt a stronger economy, because Obama created jobs, but minimum wage jobs. You can’t support a family on a minimum wage. Our manufacturing plants are gone, the coal industry is gone from my area and Hillary would just shut it down the rest of the way. Obamacare is a failure. Thank God I don’t have to use it. But there are families that need it and If they can’t afford it they get fined. That in itself is the mindset of a dictator. Hillary was going to expand it and make it available for illegals too', claimed a Trump supporter.

Trump - The profile

Holding his own style of diplomacy, Trump maybe knows in the depth of his heart he”s not the right man for the job. But for the Americans he supported the American dream.

Even If Hillary would have been business as usual, made it clear that she would continue Obama’s agenda.

Many of his voters hoped that welfare will be scaled back and labor and employment might change under his presidency.

'I voted for Trump to keep the minimum wage hike down, retain our constitutional gun rights, and keeping close to the constitution and immigration. I can now start planning my next boutique without the threat of a minimum wage hike. I can afford to get sick while I’m working 60 hours a week to get my business off the ground. The fear of the taxation-to-death threat will lessen. Trump is a businessman. He will pave the way for me to start dreaming again', claimed one of his voters.

Trump Instead of Hilary

'I was a Democrat for 39 years, but my children and grandchildren need an America that is out of debt. All that Obama did was double the debt since he took office. I will feel a whole lot safer than I ever would with Hillary”. A self – made man, a businessman that made a successful name and legacy for himself. A controversial personality, that tells what he thinks without a second thought, a politician that is not shaking hands If he doesn’t want , a surely unfavourable person of the media, as he stated “No politician in history … has been treated worse.'

Even If his coverage has been sharply negative, it seems that Trump benefited from the negative media coverage as for his candidacy. American people were fed up with corrupt political system and voted by anger and desire for change.

Far enough from Obama”s popularity, the billionaire businessman, chairman, author and now 45th America”s President, is struggling to face his first 100 days falling popularity as according to a CNN/ORC poll, Trump's approval ratings were at 44%, with 54% of respondents saying they disapproved of how he has handled the presidency so far.

Moreover, six out of 10 Americans were disappointed of Trump”s attempt to implement a new health care bill and his handling of immigration.

A question and a topic to be discussed

Who are all these Trump supporters?

'I’m 45, female, with a family and am taxed to death. I don’t care about refugees. I care about affording Christmas, paying my bills, sending my kid to school and piano lessons. If these refugees are oppressed, let them fight back like our colonists did. I’m sick of coming to the worlds defense only to be called evil', claimed a Trump fan.

Many reactions came up like the one from British MPs, that lined up to pour scorn on Trumps 'racist and sexist' declarations, saying that he should not had been allowed to come to Britain for a state visit because of the risk to embarrass Queen Elizabeth, or the one from Amy Schumer, a Canadian public figure, who claimed “Trump voters are weak and misinformed’.

An argument to point out by a Trump's voter ( thoughtcatalog)

Dog Metaphor

' Let’s say you have 2 dogs: “One dog you know will bite you because it’s bitten you before, every time.
The other dog is new and crazy and different and will probably bite you, but you don’t know for sure. It barks a lot but from past experience, you’re pretty sure that bark is all show. It’s just posturing. You have to choose one of the dogs to pet. If you don’t choose, one will be chosen for you.

So in this very transparent metaphor, the one dog is Hillary, and the other is Trump. Hillary is totally a biter, she supports all sorts of things I’m against illegal immigration amnesty, gun control. Trump, on the other hand, has said some pretty outlandish things that could never come true (banning muslims, etc).

That’s the barking in the metaphor. So If it comes down to Trump vs. Hillary, I’ll vote for Trump. I’d rather not have to though. But out of the other republican candidates, they all seem to be religious crazies and I really can’t stand that.

What about Political Correctness and Body Language?

Donald Trump expresses loudly everything he feels and believes. With strength and arrogance, anger, not always on his best behavior, handshaking whoever wants, smiling, when he doesn’t feel the need to look like a leader, or performing grimaces, shouting with a mouth open, trying to look like a tough politician and a person that deserves to be in charge and not one that can be pushed, expressing a gigantic ego but knowing about business and having his own pocket.

Exaggerated mouth expressions, wild gestures and hands movements saying 'Look at me I am a tough competitor' are in first place for Trump, trying to gain attention to himself and manipulate his audience.

By and large, If his mouth would speak his mind and as his books are stating, Trump"s mind would say How to Get Rich, How to Think Big and Kick Ass, Think like a champion, which is the Art of Deal and how I can make America Great Again.
