Glyfada : “Glam nightlife &Style”

Saints Constantine and Helen Orthodox Metropolitan Church   One of the most brilliant  and  beloved destinations in southern suburbs, an absolute choice for amusement and relaxation, is  Glyfada. Glyfada, famous coastal suburb, southerly, belongs in Athens Prefecture. Long years ago Glyfada was named Aixoni. The region was well known for a traditional regional fish, named “barbouni”, that was fished in Glyfada’s sea. In the beginning of the 20th century, Aixoni was renamed as Glyfada, due to a water well, which had brackish water. 

Glyfada Marina

Glyfada Marina sits in Saki Karagiorga Street in Glyfada, one of the richest suburbs in south Athens. Marina is constituted by four basins, named as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. It has marine space as well as a lovely coast, a sandy beach of a total length of 3 kilometres. Between the 1st and the 2nd marina, there is a length of 250 metres. Between the 2nd and the 3rd marina, there is a length of 150 metres. Between the 3rd and the 4th marina, there is a length of 300 metres. Between the 4th marina and the harbour installations and buildings  that are found in the space of Marina, there is a length of 350 m. GLYFADA MARINA The capacity of Marina is in total 810 ships. The 1st marina has a capacity of 180 yachts, the 2nd of 100, the 3rd of 280, and the 4th a capacity of 250 yachts. Greek National Opera Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center

   The Greek National Opera sits in the centre of Athens, in Akadimias Street. It presents productions of high-class operas and ballets, operettas, operas for children, and recitals. The National Opera perform concerts, also, events in the Foyer of theatre Olympia, as adaptations of arias and songs for cello and piano, operetta nights, “children’s chamber music”, as lullabies, fairytales, and songs, music for voice, flute, and piano. Also, the opera shows "suitcase opera", an exclusive donation of Stavros Niarchos Foundation, involving the famous opera “Pagliacci”, the great, Italian opera -two-act work- of Ruggero Leoncavallo, which performs in various cities of Greece.
